I installed Outlook 2007 on a new portable running Windows VISTA, then (using
Microsoft Easy Transfer) transferred data from my old desktop running XP and
Outlook 2003.
Now my Contacts folder isn’t accessible when I try to address an email
message even though the contacts show up in the Contacts folder. I open a New
message and click on the “To†button -- when I get the Select Names window,
there are no Address Books in the drop down list to choose from.
I’ve read several psots on this, and followed the instructions in ||
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;287563&Product=ol2002
I went to Tools/Account Settings/Address Books and clicked New, then
Additional Address Books, then Outlook Address Book. This got me a pop-up box
that said: “The account or directory type already exists and cannot be
specified twice.â€
Now what?
