we are running our external email thru Outlook Express and
our internal thru Outlook, when we put an address in the
Outlook address book it also appears in the Express
address book, when you try to delete from one book it
deletes from both?

If you had posted your version and mode of Outlook (not Express - Express is
not a part of Office so is irrelevant for this forum), you might have gotten
an answer on the first try.
