Addressing Email does not seach additional contact folders

When I am creating an email and click on the To button a screen comes up with
the names of the contacts in the default contact folder. You can start
typing a name and the window below will start matching what you are typing.
However if the name is in a sub folder, that folder is not being searched.
You have to select that folder from the Address book pull down field.

Since I don’t know what address book a given contact is in I would like to
have the default contact folder as well as 2 contact sub folders searched at
the same time. Is this possible?

The reason I have to have sub contact folders is for synchronization between
a mobile phone and a third party CRM program.

Don't use the Address Book to select that name but simply type it in the To
field. Then press the Check Names button and Outlook will do a lookup
according to your Address List sorting order of your Address Book until it
finds a match.
