Adjust Actuals prior to data conversion

Project Server 2003 as a great new feature that provides for actual work to
be protected. However, since we converted our data (4 months ago) much of
the older data that was converted is protected. We need to make some
corrections to the older data. We can't use the "adjust actuals" feature to
modify this information because the first available payperiod was setup as
the conversion date.

How can I make adjustments to older data that is protected?

You would need to ask your Project Server administrator to temporarily
disable the Managed Time Periods feature. You can then open each project
and adjust the data there. Afterwards, publish each project using
Collaborate - Publish - All Information, and then republish the assignments
using Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments (select the Overwrite
actual work entered by resources option). Finally, ask your Project Server
administrator to re-enable Managed Time Periods. Hope this helps.
