adjusting task end date based on resource availability

I am working with some part time help and trying to use resource leveling to
autimatically adjust the end date of a task based on the duration of the work
and the availability of the resource. For example, if the taks takes 10
days, and the resouce can only work 50% of the time, The actual calendar time
to complete the task should become 20 days. I am hoping that project is
capable of determining the end date based on this simple calculation, but
can't seem to get it to do so. Any help would be much appreciated....

Hi,

In Gantt Chart View Window, Split
In the top pane select the task
Inthe lower pane enter work as 10d, units as 50%, hit OK.

This has absolutely nothing to do with resource leveling.
Leveling delays task in order to solve an overallocation caused by multoiple
tasks but it never, never, changes assignment units.
