Adjusting Volume for Movies

I can't adjust the volume for individual movies. "Edit Movie Object" has a
"sound volume" setting but it has no effect!

Help!

Are you testing the volume by using "play movie"?

You should find that the volume settings work when the movie is played IN a
slide show--

Nothing you can do about that from within PowerPoint.
There is an add-in that may help:

Other than that I am afraid you will have to control the volume in the video
itself.

That's what I thought too, but I just tested it and it does work. Maybe an

Thanks John,

I have inserted about 20 video clips all of which seem to be playing at
different volumes! So I have to constantly adjust my volume control on the
laptop for each one. I'd love to adjust the volume once in "Edit Movie
Object" where there is an adjuster but it has absolutely no effect on the
movie volumes when played!

Thanks Luc, I have downloaded, installed and played with the add-in volctrl
per the instructions. It would be nice if it worked but doesn't seem to have
any effect. I don't mind paying $19 for the retail version but I need to get
it working first. I have turned the "sound on" for all categories, and have
checked the box in each as well and have turned the sound slider all the way
up and all the way down - with no effect on the volume of the video in 2
different slides. What do you think?

You can not adjust sound levels in videos in this manner.

What is the way that I can adjust the sound level individually in the videos
in each slide - after insertion? Why wouldn't the Sound Control add-in that
was suggested work?
I have PPT 2003.
