Hallo!
I'am trying to get hold of the .adm files for OfficeXP - according to
several notes on the microsoft web they should be in the "Resource kit for
Office XP" but all I get there are files named i.e. word10.opa insted of
word.adm.

that is all so what they say here:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/xp/two/admb01.htm#admb01_6

I have been trying to look what's inside the .opa files and it looks
allright so I have been trying just to rename the files - then I can load
the new .adm file in AD on a win2000 server - under "group policy" but I
don't get any content in the template when I try to configure the policy.

So can anyone tell me where I get the .adm files for OfficeXP?

Best Regards

Dennis:

If you download the ORK Tools, from:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/xp/appndx/appa18.htm

Then install the System Policy Editor and Templates, the .adm files will be
added to the system's .inf directory below the WinNT folder. Look for
things like Word10.adm.

Then you can launch the Group Policy Editor on the local machine to modify
the policy.

Hi Dennis,

I have checked the Office XP resource kit. You can find the ORK.CAB file.
Extract the file. You can get these ADM files.

Access10.adm Office10.adm
Excel10.adm Outlk10.adm
FP10.adm Ppt10.adm
GAL10.adm Pub10.adm
Instlr11.adm Word10.adm

They are different with the OPA files.

Note: the Office XP resource kit is not free.
