I have a user with access to multiple MS Access 2003 databases. Individually
each database opens just fine. There is no user level security set up that
is obvious as there is never a prompt for a user name or password. However,
when this user tries to open up a second database, she gets an error that
says something like "Can not open database; 'Admin' file already in use". It
makes no difference which database is opened first and which is opened
second. The first one is always fine and the second one always generates the
error. This started a couple of months ago (I just found out today) so I'm
not sure what might have initiated it. It's possible this user might have
had user level security in the past. We're all using Windows XP here if that
makes any difference.
