Admin Projects

We have just set up and published an Admin Project. We assigned everyone to
all tasks, then published. I have been updating my timesheet and I notice
that the remaining work field is increasing as I add admin hours. I also am
showing that the admin task I have recorded hours against are showing late. I
don't think this is correct. Any thoughts? How do we use this properly?

That's normal behavior for Admin projects. They are a little funky in that
way. Just ignore the spurious data.

Thanks Reid,

On a seperate but releated note. Is there a difference between using the
"Notify your manager of time you will not be available for project work
function vs. just typing in your hours on the timesheet? Do both still
require PM approval?

Also, when you update the Admin project time sheet, is it impacting Actual
work hours or planned work hours? I guess I am wondering whether the admin
project updates the resource calendar, or does the project manager still need
to go in and set vacation days on the individual calender in the ERP?

Robert:

The "Notify your manager of time you will not be available for project work"
feature creates a planned work booking and does not update the resource
calendars. Instead, your PMs will see an overallocation.
