Hello (to Susan Ramlet, hopefully
Regarding recent posts and this article..
Recommendations for Updating Office XP and Office 2000 Installation
http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/updates/patch_oxpo2k.ht
The section "Applying full-file patches to clients", helps me understand a little better why what is going on (and why a failure might mean)
I wonder if there is anyway to find out specifically what the problem is. (i.e. which files are un-versioned, or unexpected, or corrupt). In particular, is the "corrupted"/"unversioned" releated to something needed
I don't think there is a way to find out (so far), but maybe..
I noticed that "multilingual" files listed as a possibility that might trigger a source.
(Like the late Johnny Cash, "This Computers been everywhere, Man".
Thanks again
Michael
