Administrative Installation Point move

Carlos

Hi,
I successfully created an administrative installation point for office 2003
pro, then I applied sp1 and all came out well. I went to every workstation
and was able to install office from it (40+ installs at once)

my problem now is that the server where I created the share had to be
re-formated, but I still have the folder because I backed it up. Now the
server is back online and I would like to put the administrative installation
point back in place so I can have a place where I can install office from
without the CD.. you know the drill

can anyone help on the steps about this?

or is it simply grabbing that folder and give it a share name and that is
it?????

thanks in advace

Carlos

Hi,

Just make sure the share and path are EXACTLY THE SAME AS THEY WERE
BEFORE, and that the server NetBIOS name and DNS is the same as before,
and that the NTFS permissions are either the same as before or wide open.
