Administrative Installation + Remove components

L

Ludovic

Hi,

I used an administrative installation of Office 2000 and an .mst file to
deploy Office 2000.
Today, I need to change the components installed first.
I create a new .mst with the good components (I remove Outlook and the
office assistant)
I don't succed to write a comand line to update Office on a workstation.
I try to add REINSTALLMODE=vomus and/or REINSTALL=All and/or nothing with my
TRANSFORMS=\\MySrv\O2k\MST\WithoutOutlook.mst

But nothing arrived !

Thanks for your help.

Ludovic.

Hi Ludovic,

The Custom Installation Wizard and the .MST (transform) files it creates, mimic a person doing an initial installation, by hand.
For maintenance/changes use the Custom Maintenance Wizard and its .CMW files. http://microsoft.com/office/ork/2000

Transforms are ignored on already installed products.

Hi,

Thank you very much.
It works fine.

But ...

I have to continue my work.
I have to install Office 2003. Just Outlook and all tools.
I create a .mst with ork 2003.
And run Setuppro.exe with MYTRANSFORMS
Installation begins and completes but just tools are installed.
Nor Outllok, nor Office Assistant is there.

What is wrong ?

Ludovic.
