Administrative Office Update

Would someone know how to go about updating Office 2000
in admin mode (under XP Home)? When I try to do an
automatic update (SP3), the updater speaks about an
adminstrative installation point... Thx and Happy New
Year!

I did Jerry, but when it seeks a DATA1.MSI file, it responds that the file found is not valid... Cheers.

It sounds to me like you are trying to use Office Update to patch a copy of
Office 2000 that was originally installed from an Administrative share (over
a network instead of from a CD or DVD). If this is the case, and you are
trying to point to the DATA.MSI file on a CD, you will receive this same
error.

When running Office Update, you must have the exact physical copy of Office
2000 that was originally installed...whether from a CD or network share.
