Administrative Projects Maximum Hours

B

BECalvert

A work schedule of 8 hour days five days a week is not universal. Some people
work eight 9 hour days and one 8 hour day for 80 hours in two weeks. Others
work a combination of 12 hour, 8 hour and 4 hour days to total 80 hours in
two weeks.

Administrative Projects limit the maximum hours that a person can "Notify
your manager of time you will not be available for project work" to 8 hours
per day.

Changing the project calendar, task calendar and/or resource calendar does
not change the maximum hours that a person can "Notify your manager of time
you will not be available for project work."

It is unfortunate that Microsoft would include a beta version of
Administrative Projects within Microsoft Project 2003 in order to peruse the
issues and complaints raised by users and then charge users to purchase the
updates and fixes in a later version of MSProject.
