Administrative Templates

I have an easy question in regards to the Admin template.

When I create a task such as Vacation, and assign the
team members to the task, if someone enters time on the
task, it will show everyone in the team as being
unavailable for the time slot. Is there any way to
easily set this up so I do not have to enter a Vacation
task for every team member? Can it be all be managed
with just on etask for the whole team?

I suspect you may be misreading what the Gantt Chart is telling you about
the vacation task. Apply the Task Usage view and examine the Work values
for each team memember on the vacation task during the time period that one
team member set as vacation. Does this view show that all team members have
vacation, or only the one? Let us know.

Thanks.

That was it. This was just a case of the user not
knowing what he was doing!! Thanks again.

Can you recomend a good book on using Project 2003 and
PWA 2003?

Rick --

You might try our company's book on Project Server 2002, which is available
at the URL in my signature block. Our book on Project Server 2003 is edging
every closer to printing, but it's not ready yet. Hope this helps.

Will the new 2003 server book contain info on Risks/issues with sharepoint
services?
