Administrative Time

Rachel

We have a lot of administrative time categories to set up for our timesheets
(i.e. floating holidays, jury duty, sick leave, etc). When resources go to
their timesheets to enter time, each of these categories shows up on their
timesheet under a task. This makes the timesheet page very large. Is there a
way to have a drop down menu instead? So that each category isn't always
displayed but is still an option to chose from and enter time in?

Thanks,
Rachel

Rachel --

In the future, please post your Project Server questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is dedicated to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. In addition, be sure to let
us know what version of Project Server you are using. 2002, 2003, or 2007?

From your question, it sounds like you are using Project Server 2007. If
that is the case, your question indicates the reason for going "lean" on the
number of Administrative Time categories you set up in the system. Project
Server 2007 displays all Administrative Time categories as individual items,
which makes the My Timesheet page very tall, and there is no way to get them
to "roll up" on a pick list. Hope this helps.

I am using 2007. Thanks that answered my question. I'll make sure to post in
the correct place next time.

Thanks again.
