Administrator can't enter windows user account for resource

Hi all,

I've got an odd permissions issue that I can't quite figure out.
All our users use windows authentication to log in to projectserver, as an
Admin I have no problem creating these accounts and entering the relevant
information.
Our project administrator (not full project admin buut a member of our own
"Office administrators" group with rights to see and edit resources) can open
the resource pool and enter new users BUT the Windows User account field is
greyed out and she cannot enter the data.
If she modifies an existing user it works fine, just cannot ever change the
WUA field.....

I've been through the obvious settings but can't see anything obvious, any
pointers?

Does this happen on all machines the user logs onto, or just one?

I'll have to investigate a little more, when I log in to the machine on which
the problem occurs, I CAN add windows account info so I guess it's not
machine specific. I haven't tried getting the office admin to log in to a
machine that works for me though.
