Administrator Permissions: Project

I am receiving the following when trying to View the .mpps in the Project
Center of Project Server 2007. I have full admin. permissions, with no
changes to the admin. security template, category, or views. Interestingly,
no other admin. permissions have changed. I also receive this with the
Executive role, and all permissions are set accordingly there as well.

This happend over a matter of minutes. All viewing abilities were fine. I
was in the process of adding a sub-project to a Master project, then MS
Project 2007 crashed (with the insert sub-project failing). I rebooted my pc
and since then can no longer view any .mpps through PWA, but can see them
through Project 2007 | File | Open.

We re-indexed the database as suggested and nstalled the latest service
packs. It appears to be an issue with permissions, but all permissions are
what they should be.

"Project Center cannot access the project(s) you are trying to view. It is
most likely that you either don't have permissions to view the project,
another user has deleted this project(s) before you were able to view it or
that another user is in the process of publishing the project."

It is now working properly again. The overall problem is that I own and
operate the application, whereas the physical server, the database, and
Sharepoint side of Project Server is maintained in another location.
Therefore, I cannot confirm this is exactly what rectified the problem.

However, this is what I think happend:
*We had a SQL Timeout (which is what all research states cause the initial
"Project Center cannot access the project(s) you are trying to view..."
message)
*We also needed to apply the SP2 to the server itself (the hotfix at the
following link should be included in the SP2
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/952289/ )
*Re-index the database once SP2 is applied

We re-indexed the database before we applied SP2 and had no improvement.
When re-indexing after applying SP2, (20 minutes later) I regained visibility
to all .mpps in Project Center.

The only issues remaining is that some users don't have visibility to the
assigned tasks in the MY TASKS link (just white space); or, some need to
always refresh once at MY TASKS.

I will have them clear their browser cache. Could this also be related to
the SQL timeout?

Thanks for the reply.
