administrator set-up

Help! I installed Office 2000 on my old computer and gave
it to my girlfriend. Her "charming" son rearranged
something and now she cannot get in or change passwords
etc. The manual suggested reinstalling it but without
administrator approval, no one do anything. I need to
know how to sign up as an administrator again or
reinstall it or something. We are locked out. Please
help. Thank you so much.

Sounds like you have more child than technical issues.
There are offline password changers for nt/2k/xp you can google for that
will assist you in reclaiming the administrator password, then once you get
it change it & create a user with barely any rights for the child, and never
give the password to the child for administrator. then ground the child.
