Admins cannot view project sites

I have added a couple of users as admins on our project server site. I'm
assuming these should have access to view any of the projects from the
project list to administer them? If I go to the central administration page,
and click "Manage website users", enter their details, they are showing as
Administrators but can't access. The only way I can give them access to view
all pages is to give them local admin rights on the server which isn't really
acceptable. The other workaound is to add them to all the project sites with
the admin right. This would be very time consuming as there are alot of
projects to do this on.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Blackprint:

Always mention the version you're using in your posts. If you're using 2007,
go to Server Settings and under Operational Policies section select Project
Workspaces. Select the sites whose permissions you want to synchronize and
click the synchronize button. This will force the permissions synch.
Otherwise, the users will have to wait until the next time the project is
published before their permissions will synchronize.
