ADO connection does not have permission to read Access table

I have an application that ran perfectly until my
computer crashed(from old age) and when I bought a new
one I installed Windows XP. Now the application has an
error when accessing the Access database and the message
states "Record(s) cannot be read; no read permission
on 'tablename'." with an OK button that offers
debugging. None of this code is at fault.

When I first run under XP I got an error requiring the
Jet 4.0 patch7 update. I did the upgrade and now get
this message.

I have Access security set to 'Low' to avoid messages
that warn about unauthorized access.

How can I get ADO to Access this database? Any Help --
