ADO connection strings to Outlook

Hi everybody

I hope this is the right place to ask about this. If it isn't I would
appreciate a pointer to the right place.

I want to be able to link to a public folder in Outlook and return a
combination of standard and custom data from that folder. Using various
references I have gleaned from the Outlook discussion group I have made a lot
of progress using ADO. I am stuck on one crucial aspect though: the fields
returned seem to be related to the current view on the folder in question,
but they are certainly not the full list of fields included in the view.

My question, how can I reliably specify (in Outlook or in Access, I'm not
fussy) the fields that will be returned by my ADO connection?

Any help at all would be much appreciated. I'm not particularly adept at
this stuff, but I'm a quick learner and I have certainly come a long way in
the past few months. But please don't assume I know very much, and have a bit
of patience with my dense replies.

Many many thanks in advance,

Vaughan
