ADO Recordset

David Widener

I am trying to update a ADODB.Recordset from the After Update event procedure
of a form, I have the following code in the event:
Dim rs As New ADODB.Recordset
rs.Open "tbl",CurrentProject.Connection,adOpenStatic,adLockOptimistic
rs.Fields(0) = AssetNumber
rs.Fields(1) = fOSUserName()
rs.Fields(2) = Now()
rs.Update
rs.Close
I recieve the following error:
3021 Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted.
Requested operation requires a current record
Can anyone help with this ???

You're missing an rs.AddNew after the rs.Open.

a useable e-mail address at the URL above.
