ADO Timeout Expired

In regard to Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 290382,
even though I have the OLE/DDE timeout to zero (0), I still
received the "timeout expired" error. Do I need to install
a service pack (Office XP - Accesss 2002), or make an
additional change in Access?
