I convert word files to Adobe acrobat every day during for my work.

on the top of the word document there are usually two adobe tabs to convert
the documents. sometimes these disappear only to reappear later.

sometimes they never reappear causing me to reinstall acrobat.

any ideas?

thanks in advance.

Right-click on any toolbar. Is there a PDF Maker toolbar? If so, click on it
to display it. If it is displayed when you quit Word, it should be displayed
the next time you start Word. If it is not in the list, then you may have
deleted PDFMaker.dot from your Startup folder.

Well, i didn't. i don't know where it went.

i had to do a complete reinstall but it would be nice to know if that
happens to anyone else.

My IT guy suggested that i not have too many toolbars active at one
time..but he had never seen that happen before.

The Acrobat toolbar is nothing to do with Word or Office. I assume it was
Acrobat that you reinstalled?

yes, i reinstalled adobe acrobat pro 6.0.

i am unsure if we are talking about the same thing.
when it is reinstalled the adobe tabs appear at the top of the document to
the right of the Word "help" tab. if they are not there i have found them
sometimes when i right click on the toolbar and a drop down menu appears with
an "adobe" tool at the bottom.

The PDFMaker add-in adds two menu bar items and a toolbar with three
buttons.
