Other than Acrobat Distiller (part of the full Acrobat software, there are a
few free/cheap/share programs that will set up a virtual printer to which
you can "print" any file and save it as a pdf.

You can save it as an adobe file, however, I have noticed
that text gets skewed - this, from what adobe told me is a
microsoft issue - they reccommend saving as a jpeg or tif
and then opening acrobat and choosing the open file as pdf
command from the file menu to create the file from the pix

good luck

Can I save the Visio drawing as an Adobe file i.e. PDF
format?

You can get the Acrobat writer (not the viewer) from Adobe, but it's
expensive. It'll produce PDF files from any application.

Adobe also has an on-line service with a free trial:
https://createpdf.adobe.com/

There are a few alternative less expensive pdf writing programs and
services, but I haven't tried any of them. Check out
