Adobe Insertion - hatched lines

When I insert an Adobe Acrobat file into Word 2003 it appear with hatched
diagnol lines over the image. Suggestions?

I am trying to get a Microsoft Project Report into my Word document. I wrote
the report to Adobe (as suggested on the Project forum) - perahps another
question would be, what is the best way to get a Microsoft Project Report to
look nice in Word?

You can only display a one page Acrobat file in Word (or the first page of a
multi-page file) because Word objects cannot span pages. Acrobat files are
graphics and so when inserted between the margins of the page they will
shrink to the margins and shrinking results in unwanted artefacts that can
ruin the image display, and I suspect that is what is happening here. Try
setting the object layout properties to a wrap option other than in line
with text and set the size to 100%.

A better way to get parts of a report in Word is to use a screen capture
tool such as SnagIt (there is a working demo) which you can use to insert
just the parts of the report that you require. If inserted at full size they
should look pretty much as the original. There are lots of examples on my

Thanks Graham. Nice website. I tried SnagIt and it worked great. It worked
best to "print" directly to a SnagIt .jpg from Microsoft Project.

It's funny (and a little sad) that I have to use a third party tool to get
content from one Microsoft product to another.

I don't know anything about Microsoft Project. My reply concerned getting
content from an Adobe product and inserting it in Word. Word has no ability
to do this. Note that if inserting jpg files into Word they will shrink to
the margins, shrinking bitmapped images will reduce their resolution. Office
comes with Microsoft Document Imaging which is capable of producing TIFF
images of your documents, but it is nowhere near as sophisticated as SnagIt.
