Adobe PDF file import

Jay

Well, it's a fact of life. .pdf files are everywhere in academia. Most
journals articles are available electronically only in .pda format,
instructors love to distribute pdf files. I need to be able to take notes
on PDF files in OneNote. I'd like to see a print driver that will allow
conversion of ANY printable material to a format that OneNote can handle, but
pdf file import capabilities are at the top of my must have list.

It isn't legal to distribute the program, unfortunately. We are actively
trying to determine what happened with the site and also about the
availability in the future.

Please let me know when this is available. My classes start 01/09/06 and I
will need to use the onenote to type my notes, as my arm is having some med
probs and I can't write for a 3 hour lecture.

I don't think this is what you seek but worth a mention. I use a
tablet pc to mark docs.

There is a free PDF printer driver that I have installed in Word. When
I mark my students' essays in Word, I then select PRINT and the Primo
PDF printer puts a pdf of the doc on the disk--with ink perfectly
intact--for me to send back.

Since One Note exports to WORD, this might provide a workaround,
provided you can get the pdf into word. This great tool is at:

I did figure out that you can print to MDI and then open the MDI and save to
Tiff.

If this is as good as it gets, then I'll go this route. Although, I'm sure
Mr. Gates had more efficient means in mind.

Since this is a printer driver, it can create PDFs from any application
directly.

You shouldn't need to import the data into Word.
