Issue: Adobe Reader 8 crashes when opening PDFs created from Project 2007
OS: Win XP Pro SP3
Error Message(s): None
Details: This issue happens with multiple Microsoft Project files (including
new files), multiple PDF creators (included Acrobat 8 Standard) and on
multiple computers. We also tried opening the PDFs in Acrobat 8 Standard
instead of Adobe Reader 8. There is no record in the event log on the
computers of the application crashes.

Just a clarification to be more precise:
The crash actually appears to occur immediately after changing from the
first page to any other page in the document.

Hello Josh,

There have been several reports of Project 2007 and Adobe
conflicts -- though mostly seen when printing to a PDF file. For
several people, creating the PDF file with the 3D bars turned off
(Tools > Options, View tab) seems to help.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

After following your advice to turn off the 3D bars, I created PDFs from
three of the same Microsoft Project files and was not able to get any of
these PDFs to crash. So far so good!

Thank you,
