ADP and linking MDB tables

Hi,
I am using Access2002 (SP3) and would like to link tables into my ADP from an
MDB.

This option isnt available as the MDB is not an external OLE DB source. My
questions are:

1) Is it available in any subsequent releases of Access?

2) What are my alternatives to linking the mdb tables? I am considering
upsizing the MDB onto SQL Server but would like to avoid that for now if i
can.
