ADP closing application without warning

Would a loss in a connection to the database server cause Access to close
without warning and without error message?

I'm using DNS name for the server and Windows NT Integrated security.

I had our DBA drop the connection while I was in the application and it
close right away.

Is this normal for a ADP connection to a SQL Server?
