adp not responding

i am trying to deploy an adp file in a new location, with a new sql server.
to m y understanding, if the adp file cannot connect to a server, it will
prompt you to connect to a new server. i am not getting this promt, and the
file will not open. please let me know if i am missing something in this
otherwise simple process.

Try the ADP Sample that comes with Access, it has a great module "Startup"
that will detect and even install.
