ADP project connection question

Jeff

Hello,

I am new to ADP projects so please forgive me....

I have an ADP project where I am connecting to a SQL Server database.
I am connecting using the Access Menu option under File / Connection.

This works fine. But if the SQL server database isnt active I obviously get
an error message when the program starts saying "Access is unable to connect
to ... Make sure that the database still exists and that the server is still
running"
Which makes sense.

However then my program still starts up, the Startup Form I have contines to
Load.

What I want to be able to do is that after this message appears for the
program to not open & just shut down. How can I do this ?

Is their a way I can trap the err based on this message ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Jeff
