advantage of generic resource over local

Could someone please explain the advantage to using Generic Resources
over Local? Seems to me that Local resources take care of most
anything "non-enterprise". Is it just a matter of using a consistent
naming convention and/or matching to particular skills in PS?

Hi Andy,
Generic resources of course can be used to demand management, eg how many
SQL DBs do I need in the next 6 months...
