Advice in organising projects

I have many large and small projects assigned to resources on the project
server. One difficulty I am experiencing is that the projects I have are not
organised very well. For example its hard to see when and who is assigned to
what? I know you could use views. The projects seem to be everywhere. Its
hard to see that a project has passed its deadline date. I have to go into
project and see for myself.

Are you using Project Server? If so, you should open a project and click "
"View - Resource Usage" and if you have enabled "Load summary resource
assignments" in your Project Server Accounts log-on, you will be able to see
resource assignments across all other projects published to the server.
