Thanks to Tina who helped me with forms coding in the past, I have a
functional data input form which is used to key organization members data. I
do not know visual basic so Tina helped me with macros, event procedures,
combos and other technical questions which resulted with a nice data input
form. The header portion will match a keyed name to the data base and fill
the detail portion with matching data, and I use this single form to maintain
as well as add or delete records. My form occupies the complete screen, and
I am not presently using subforms.
The organization has a convention once a year, and a lot of data is
collected for that event, and is presently maintained in a separate data
base. It would be nice if something could be put into the main data input
form to trigger the appearance of a new form with identification information
from the main form and which could then be used to key the registration
information into a separate table. Or perhaps, a better solution would be
set up a different form for keying registration data and pull the matching
detail data from the main data base and update a separate table??
Would you please point me in the direction I should pursue to accomplish the
integration of these two applications. As usual, any help would be greatly
appreciated.
