I'd really appreciate some pointers on how to get started with simple
Outlook/Exchange programming. References to favorite books would be great.
I'm an experienced programmer (or used to be), but NOT in the Windows/VB
environment, and I really don't have a lot of time to delve into the depths
these days.
I'm using Outlook Task Manager to coordinate Exchange work with a group of
consultants. It's tantalizingly close to being what we need, but I need to
make a few tweaks. I need to allow anyone to reassign task, notify people
when tasks are assigned to them, and eliminate the need for people to
explicitly accept tasks assigned to them. Plus, all tasks stay in the
common database.
BTW, if anyone knows of software that already does this, at a reasonable
cost, I'm very interested. I want to keep things as generic as possible to
maintain compatibility with PDAs and such.
