Advice on tables sought

I am trying to set up a small database which can book people onto tours.

There may just be a single person attending himself or he may come along as
part of a party (ie a family unit, group of friends etc).

I am not totally sure how to design my tables. If I just set up a passenger
table it doesn't really cater for groups. I thought about a booking table
linked to a passenger table.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Your are on the right track with the linked tables because you have the possibility of one or more contacts per event. By building a contact table you will be also able to create mailing lists for future events. When I started working in Access I found several books in my local Library that assisted me in the adventure. Have fun.
