After automatic update I cannot connect to wireless network

Can anyone help with above problem? System tells me it cannot find any
wireless networks, but it knows my wireless IP. I am anxious about doing a
wizard install as I had to get a tech to set it all up in the first place. I
am using XP 2002. I have checked the MS firewall is not on, as I am running
Norton's internet security and that allows for my network. All settings in
Nortons appear to be secure.
