After Backup cannot access folder

J

Jim

I went to backup my Outlook folder under Documents &
Settings > Name > Local Settings > Application >
Microsoft > Outlook, and restored the Outlook file from a
DVD that I had burned a backup to from the backup utility
under System Resources in the Accessories tab. It
replaced all the files, because I wanted my saved email
restored, but it won't let Outlook access the file/folder
at all. Not even I can access the folder. It says Access
Denied, but I'm the administrator and the only user of
this computer. Please Help!

I don't know much about Outlook, but it may be worth looking to see if
the restored file has its read-only flag set. If it does, reset the
flag and see if the problem goes away.

If it doesn't, you may have more success getting answers in one of the
Outlook newsgroups. This newsgroup is devoted to questions about
Microsoft Access, the database program.
