After changing sub task dates, summary task doesn't update

I've change the dates on a few of the sub task and the Summary task doesn't
refelect any of the date changes. I've tried this with other tasks in this
project plan and the same issue occurs. The last time I was in this plan I
was able to do this successfully. Any help would be appreciated.

Dan,
Three things.

First, you shouldn't be changing any dates in Project - it defeats the
reason for using Project. What you should be doing is updating the
duration, work/remaining work, task linkages and/or resource
assignments. Project will then calculate the dates for you.

Second, changing dates of performance tasks under a summary line will
not necessarily cause the start and finish of the summary to change
since the start and finish dates for a summary line are determined by
the start of the earliest task under that summary and the finish of the
latest task under the summary.

Third, do you have calculation set for automatic
(Tools/Options/Calculation tab)?
