after closing outlook i still have outlook.exe running in taskbar

I installed outlook 2003 in one machine and then when i opened it first time
it just worked fine.But if i close it and then try to open Outlook again it
does nothing...and when i saw taskmanager it still has outlook.exe running.
When i ended that process, i could get into outlook again
