Office updates after SP2

At officeupdate.microsoft.com/, "check for updates', I was prompted to click
on download. The display indicated that it would take 77 minutes to download
and it did, however, on completion it indicated that it was unsuccessful. The
download never asked for the original installation CD. I was prompted to
download the updates again. I have spent three hours on downloads so far
today. How much longer can I continue?
