Peter,

The pictures are loading on your home page, but you have to wait a while for
them to load. You should either reduce their size and optimize them before
you insert them, or compress them before you Publish to the Web and produce
the HTML output if you want them to load faster.

The reason your other pages don't load is because you are using a free web
hosting service that frames your site. You can go to View > Source to see
the code if you want. The Publisher navbar wizard writes relative links to
your other pages, and the only way you can get a Publisher site to work when
it is being framed like this is to not use the navbar wizard, and build a
menu with absolute links.

Notice that both the following links take you to your calendar page.
http://changeit.nathans-hosting.com/index_files/Page1028.htm
http://www.petertoye.co.nr/index_files/Page1028.htm
Mouseover the calendar link on your home page, and you will see that it is
pointing to: index_files/Page1028 . The browser is assuming the link is
under your domain name, but in reality it is under
changeit.nathans-hosting.com, so when you click the link, the browser can't
find the page. This is why you need to write absolute links to your pages.

One way to approach this to go to each page of your Publisher document, such
as your calendar page. Then instead of letting Publisher assign an arbitrary
file name/number to that page, write one yourself. On the calendar go to
Tools > Web Page Options. In that dialog, you can leave the Page title:
Calendar, but also under file name, type in "calendar", and now when Pub
produces the html, that page will be called calendar.htm instead of
Page1028.htm...and you write the link:
http://www.petertoye.co.nr/index_files/calendar.htm Do this with each page,
and it will be easier to write your links.

Then either build a textual or graphical menu, and insert the absolute links
manually. Copy the menu onto each page, and Publish to the Web and produce
new html output. Go to your host, and delete the old index.htm file and
index_files folder, and upload the new.

That should fix the issue...if not post back

Hank,

Unlike Peter you did not post the URL of your site, so I can't tell you for
sure why your images are not loading. You also should get in the habit of
posting a new message instead of tagging onto someone else's. You made it
look like your were responding to his post.

Without the URL, I first guess is that you didn't upload the index_files
folder along with the index.htm file. You images are in that folder. Try
uploading that folder and see if that helps solve your issue. If it doesn't,
then post back with details and the URL of your site. Also are you using IE6
or IE7?

And by the way, Pub 2007 works much like Pub 2003, so the answers for 2003
will usually apply.
