I am auditioning a PocketPC PDA (Toshiba) from a friend. The PDA came
with a CD with Outlook 2002 (I had 2000 on my PC). Documentation
recommended installation to improve synching data with PC. So I
installed.
A few days later I did some work updating my MS Office software -
installing service packs. The second service pack I installed asked me
to put my Outlook 2002 disk in the drive. The only disk I had was the
Toshiba disk with Outlook 2002, so I put it in. Computer froze and I
had to hard reboot. Same thing the second time. Then the drive stopped
reading CDs. Even music CDs. It appears to be dead.
Would very much appreciate help ... I can't afford the $35 tech
support call to Microsoft ...
Thanks.
