I installed MS Outlook 2000 and there was an error and it asked me to run set
up again but before I did that I went into the registry and under SOFTWARE
deleted the key for this product. Then I reinstalled Outook and restarted
the pc and it boots normally but when it gets to the desktop it seems to
hang. The mouse is stll active but no icons appear and I cannot access the
start menu. I then tried to start up in SAFE MODE but the screen appeared
gray and showed nothing but "safe mode" at the bottom.
I am able to access the bios settings and the F10 safe mode screen will come
up but nothing I do there seems to make any difference at all. The result is
the same.... the pc boots to desktop and hang without icons or start
button... but the mouse works.
Any idea on how I can fix this or even restore the pc to it's last good
config or even to the factory settings. Keep in mind that I do not have a
disk for ME. It came installed and I got the pc from a family member.
Thanks, Kandi
