Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Intel I installed a trial of the Office 2008, but when I opened widows or any Microsoft programme it closes itself after 20 seconds or less showing a widow saying that it had to close unexpectedly saying that "Microsoft has encountered a problem and needs to close". So I though it was maybe because of the trial, so I bought the full retail version, I have uninstalled the trial, installed the retail version, but the same window came up!! I don't know waht to do...

Hi

Check this link for general troubleshooting steps to take:

If it were me, I would reboot the computer, run Disk Utility to repair
permissions, let Office update itself, and then use Font Book to
root-out corrupt fonts.

How much free space do you have? How much RAM?

Have you tested in a new User? Go to System Preferences --> Create a New
User in Accounts. Switch to the New User by logging out/in or use Fast
User Switching. Test Office there.
