Do you have Norton or McAfee or any other AV scanning incoming and/or
outgoing messages? Try turning it off and see if your send/receive works
again.
You might want to delete your .srs file (use Windows search and enable
searching hidden/system files) to recreate your send/receive settings.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Andy Claxton asked:
| I have deleted and re-entered the mail accounts yet am still unable
| to send emails (but can still receive). The 'Test' email function
| still sends and receives.
|
| I have pinged the SMTP servers by name and that works.
|
| Any other solutions? Failing that can I uninstall the latest
| 'updates' until MS sort out the problems?
|
| I fail to understand why I can post messages to the Newsgroups via
| Outlook Express but not send emails by Outlook.
|
| Regards
