After Office 2003 SP1 Outlook is broke

I installed Office 2003 SP1 and now I cannot get Outlook to run. It will
open but without the preview pane being open (which is the way I usually
have it) and if I try to open the preview pane Outlook crashes. If I open an
email Outlook crashes. I installed Office originally from a network location
and ran the patch from a CD and the update seemed to go fine, no errors. If
I try Repair or reinstall from either the network location or the CD I get
an error about a corrupted PCW_CAB_H7000_1 file. I was going to do a search
on my hard drive and CD for that file but found that under Start > Search it
displays 'Using Microsoft Outlook...' and that opens the search window from
Outlook instead of from Explorer.

Any ideas? TIA

Try creating a new mail profile here: Control Panel->Mail Icon->Show
Profiles->New. Do not copy your old profile as it is probably corrupt.

Milly,
I was able to open my current mail using the cmd line "outlook.exe
/cleanviews" and now the reading pane works and I can read all my email. I
still have the problem with Start > Search. It still only offers me the
option to search "Using Microsoft Outlook" Any ideas on that?

Larry
