After removing SNBC personal update Outlook 2K won't start customize screen

After removing MSNBC personal update from my computer -- as directed by NBC and Microsoft -- I am not able to customize the Outlook Today screen. When I try and enter the "Customize Outlook Today" I get the following error: program%20files\microsoft%20Office|office\1033\outlwvw.dll/custom.htm.
I've tried removing the entire office and reinstalling with no success. any ideas?
